Research

Views held on the record.

CREI publishes selectively. Where a view is published, it carries the reasoning behind it: the prediction, the confidence, the load-bearing assumptions, and the conditions that would change it — so it can be checked against what actually happens.

What will be published

Four formats.

Decision records

A consequential decision reconstructed: what management committed to, what it predicted, the load-bearing assumptions, and the conditions that would change the view.

Prediction updates

Revisions to a previously published view as evidence moves, including what changed, why, and how confidence was adjusted.

Decision Debt analysis

Where the reasoning behind a commitment has diverged from observable reality, and the estimated economic consequence if the divergence persists.

Capital allocation analysis

How capital was committed against the alternatives available at the time, and what the commitment has since produced.

Decision record structure

Every record carries the same fields.

A published view is only useful if it can be scored later. Each record states these at the time of publication.

CREI Decision Records will be published selectively

None have been published yet. When they are, each will state its prediction, confidence, and review date on the record, so it can be checked against what actually happens.

Enterprise relationships

Where an enterprise relationship begins.

If you are an owner, board member, CEO, CFO, or senior executive facing a consequential decision with material economic exposure, CREI can determine whether Decision Infrastructure belongs inside the enterprise.
